Golden Flashes Fall in Championship

Kent State earned a split this weekend at the 4th Annual Wooster Thanksgiving Tournament. The Golden Flashes crushed Rutgers 12 - 3 on Sat to earn a trip back to the Championship Game. The Godlen Flashes were paced by Jr forward Eric Horschler who had 4 goals and an Asst on the night. Kent St entered the Championship game as the 3 time defending champions and undefeated on the ice in Wooster, OH. Even with all the mojo, Kent St couldn't keep things rolling on Sunday and fell to #14 Robert Morris University 5-4 in a hard fought battle. Kent State was without two of their top four scorers for the weekend missing Sr Jason O'Bannon and Jr Dave Bruder, as well as key players Sr Chad Melberg and Fr John Simmerer. The Golden Flashes expect everyone back this weekend vs #2 Lindenwood.

The Golden Flashes finish the semester this weekend vs #2 Lindenwood. Friday and Saturday at the Kent State Ice Arena.
